8/10/2023 0 Comments Manhunt 2 storylineThe story was really interesting however - even if the "twist" could be seen a mile away - and I enjoyed playing as a character who wasn't as physically imposing as Cash, which made the game a bit more grounded in reality. One of the executions has an enemy's head completely explode like a watermelon when hit with a hammer, it's almost like watching an adult Looney-Tunes cartoon. The executions where more brutal and sadistic, but they went so over the top with some of them. I'm pretty sure there's a level in Manhunt 2 that's nothing more than an alleyway and an abandoned house - the whole game feels like a mish-mash of different levels with no cohesive connections between them, like as if there was so much left on the cutting room floor. They improved the shooting and melee combat, but went backwards on its level design and atmosphere. Manhunt 2 is the video-game equivalent of "Two steps forward, five backward". It's definitely one of the scariest games I've played, and it only has human characters in it - which is something really admirable from Rockstar for doing that. The shooting and melee-combat was terrible but everything else was great. It's so unsettling and nerve-wracking to playthrough with the pairing of the incredible OST and almost depressing visuals. Manhunt 1 has one of the tightest atmospheres I've ever played in a game. I've played both and I'd say Manhunt 1 is a lot better than 2, even with the gameplay improvements that 2 added. What's your favorite manhunt in terms of the story? And do you think a new manhunt could exist in the current days of how things are right now if POSTAL can? I love the differences between the versions of manhunt 2, how odd the Wii version is closest to the PC version, and even with the uncensor gecko code for Wii the executions are pretty tame since the execution cutscenes were shortened, and I mean the hasty sledgehammer hits the shoulder, not bust the head. I thought it was well done, while i missed hearing the hunters get scared while you hid like the first game, I still love the dialogue. We still got postal from RWS which is great. As most rockstar games always have a different story in the sequel, I know it was kind of a bummer they didnt continue the story of the first but I actually prefer manhunt 2 cause of the Wii version and uncut PC version (.that I wish was for sale I shouldn't have to pirate a game cause take two or rockstar won't put it up for sale.) the psychological story that was told with daniel and leo and everything about it was just idk. I'm a huge fan of Manhunt, I personally believe it is rockstar's best franchise that wasn't afraid of showing the censors the middle finger to video game violence.
